Research

In order to have the best available knowledge in management practice, CESA uses research as an outstanding way to carry out its mission of educating the best future business leaders.

Additional Information

As a business school, CESA is clearly able to define its research: the Colombian business reality in its national and international context.  This means that CESA’s research is focused in order to develop critical and creative business practices in Colombia to create better efficiency, methods, competiveness and ethics.  For Colombia this is especially important since many businesses have ignored scientific methods such as the use of best practices.

Well designed research will ultimately keep professors (researchers) closely linked to the reality of the business world to understand, analyze and generate creative proposals for improvement and transformation.  Research is thus an excellent way to maintain contact with reality in a different way, but fruitful, which in this case, is the practice of management.  It is also an immensely useful tool in generating new insights, practical issues, proposing new methodologies and tools for the long term.

From the point of view that Colombian businesses have traditionally ignored scientific thought, it is essential that CESA leads in the following areas of business administration research: leadership, human resources, organizational behavior, finance, marketing, economics, information technology, business history, value network management and entrepreneurship.

In short, research creates an undeniable added value for both the training of students at CESA and for the development of the institutional mission which help businesses and society in particular, making it a socially responsible institution.
